Sailor Japan has been producing many demonstrators in different colors for their Japanese markets. You will find special colors like green, pink and even red made specifically for Japanese stationery retailers.
We have been trying very hard to get hold of these special demonstrators but were told that they are exclusively made for the Japanese market. We never give up in getting them until last week when we received 10 pieces of Sapporo Demonstrator; they are limited to 500 pieces but not numbered.
Firstly the Sapporo features a flat top decorated with Sailor’s anchor, the fountain pen come with chrome trimming and a 14k medium fine nib only. The nib is similar to that use in the usual Sapporo resin pens therefore the nibs are inter changeable if you do not like medium fine nibs. The fountain pen has a central circumference of 39mm, length cap closed of 124mm and a gross weight of 16.8 grams. They are available at our website and selling real fast, for more information about this item you can check it out at www.pengallery.com

There has been quite a bit of confusion on the sizes of the Sailor Professional Gear and Sapporo range of pens as all of them look alike if we don’t compare side by side. The Professional Series has been cosmetically improved based on the popular 1911 Series. This elegant series come with either gold or rhodium trims and 14K or 21K depending pen the fountain pen size. The Professional Gear pens comes with the lovely flat top engraved with the “Anchor logo” seemingly more blending with the entire fountain pen. Hellooooo, We came across this lovely and cute fountain pen when one of our customers wrote in and ask if we are able to obtain the Hello Kitty Sailor fountain pen. After two months of waiting the cute Kitty arrived a few days ago.
Hello Kitty is a fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio. Designed by Ikuko Shimizu, the first product, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974, and in the United States in 1976. The Hello Kitty line has since developed licensing arrangements. Riding on the popularity of Hello Kitty, Sailor Japan has produced a special edition with this theme using its ever popular Mini Sapporo fountain pen. With a combination of dark and light pink the Hello Kitty is clearly engraved on the cap and on the 14K fine nib. This fountain pen accepts only Sailor ink cartridges and not converters and the length with cap posted is 13.5cm and cap closed is 10.5cm. The central circumference is 3.8cm.
