Sailor Sapporo Demonstrator
Sailor Japan has been producing many demonstrators in different colors for their Japanese markets. You will find special colors like green, pink and even red made specifically for Japanese stationery retailers.
We have been trying very hard to get hold of these special demonstrators but were told that they are exclusively made for the Japanese market. We never give up in getting them until last week when we received 10 pieces of Sapporo Demonstrator; they are limited to 500 pieces but not numbered.
Firstly the Sapporo features a flat top decorated with Sailor’s anchor, the fountain pen come with chrome trimming and a 14k medium fine nib only. The nib is similar to that use in the usual Sapporo resin pens therefore the nibs are inter changeable if you do not like medium fine nibs. The fountain pen has a central circumference of 39mm, length cap closed of 124mm and a gross weight of 16.8 grams. Picked up one of these from The Weld branch yesterday. Not for myself, but as a gift to a client, soon. Haven’t got a chance to really admire it yet as I requested the pen and ink to be wrapped up
