Namiki Nippon Art Origami Series

January 4th, 2010 kh Leave a comment Go to comments

The Namiki Nippon Art Origami series was launched during the Fall 2009 and it is the latest edition of Makie pens highlighting the authentic Japanese handicraft, the Origami. It derives from the Japanese word ORU meaning “folding”, and KAMI meaning “paper” is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding. Once again in the series, Namiki have immortalized the Origami Art in its Makie pens and they have a selection of different motives that goes along with it. These design a very different from the conventional fine art which very often depicts perfect images. In the edition, you will find abstract images of Crane, Rabbit, Goldfish and Helmet but they are all in Origami style.

The Origami Makie pens are certainly fresh in design and I think maybe in the very near future, the makie pen makers will immortalize abstract art pieces by artist such as Picasso or Van Gogh. Once again, check out these pictures and they are available now at our website
