The LAMY studio made another addition to its collection with the latest grey palladium finish. The fountain pen is available in brush-finished stainless steel and in black soft-varnish and blue soft-varnish, palladium. The fountain pen comes with a 14k bi-color gold nib.

The Model T fountain pen, with its dynamic and slender design, sober and elegant has been conceived following the same principles that inspired the historical model. The fountain pen come only 1 nib size, the 6 mm titanium nib is as it is a less noble metal, with a great performance in terms of accuracy, flexibility and lightness. This one size known as the “T-Flex” nib allows a perfect writing and meets whatever a pressure. Stipula have added flavors to the range and included both the graphite and pyrite resin finish to the Model T range. The new version now uses Eye Dropper system which can also accommodate cartridge or converters of international standard.

The Sailor wood pens are famous for their fine grain and it’s now available in their Sapporo series of pens with the launching of Ironwood and Ebony Sapporo fountain pens. Sailor the Professional Gear fountain pen is now available in Micarta resin. It features a solid 21 carat gold. The cap, barrel and section are all made from Micarta resin and the trim is 24 carat gold plated. Micarta is a trademark of Norplex-Micarta industrial high pressure laminates and refers to a composite of linen, canvas, paper, fiberglass, carbon fiber or other fabric in a thermosetting plastic, originally used in electrical and decorative applications. Micarta was developed by George Westinghouse at least as early as 1910 using phenolic resins invented by Dr. Leo Baekeland. These resins were used to impregnate paper and cotton fabric which was cured under pressure and high temperature to produce laminates. In later years this manufacturing method included the use of fiberglass fabric, other resin types were also used. Today Micarta high pressure industrial laminates are produced with a wide variety of resins and fibers. The term has been inappropriately used to generically refer to most resin impregnated fiber compounds. Common uses of modern high pressure laminates are as electrical insulators, printed circuit board substrates and knife handles.
