Conway Stewart New Churchill colors and limited edition

November 1st, 2010 kh 2 comments

We have received a few interesting Conway Stewart pens consist of new Churchill colors and 2 new limited editions namely the Bard and Belliver. The Bard joins Conway Stewart’s lineup as a commanding new flagship model. Imposing size and a striking style set the Bard apart from other writing instruments, while the traditional attention to detail, hallmarked accent rings, and distinctive clip mark it as part of the proud Conway Stewart heritage. Meanwhile the limited edition Belliver model from Conway Stewart is a return to the finest traditions of CS heritage, rooted in attention to detail, a perfect size and weight, as well as a timeless design married to understated accents. From the carefully crafted resin cap and barrel, each alight in the pearlescent shades of our Classic Brown to the rich gold trim and expertly fitted 18 carat solid gold nib, the Belliver was created with one goal in mind: Making the experience of writing as perfect as possible. The Belliver name comes from the location where the Conway Stewart factory is located on the outskirts of Plymouth Devon.

Conway Stewart Wellington Collection

September 30th, 2009 kh No comments

Conway Stewart commemorates Sir Arthur Wellesley, Duke of Wellington life by offering this new range of pens. The Duke of Wellington is widely considered as one of the leading military and political figures of the first half of the 19th century, a prominent figure in the history of England. He achieved many heights throughout his political career: an Anglo-Irish general and statesman, chief secretary for Ireland, ambassador to France, commander in chief of the British army, victor at the Battle of Waterloo, twice British prime minister and was one of the leading figures in the House of Lords.

The striking new design has been crafted with a subtly curvaceous form to both cap and barrel, an exciting new shape that sets the Wellington apart from traditional pen designs. The Wellington was created with an eye to the Continental flair for a sleek and classic look. This combines the rich marbled resin and polished gold trim to result in a pen that suits both high fashion as well as tasteful refinement. The barrel of the each pen is accented by two 18 carat hallmarked solid gold bands and the nibs are also crafted out of 18 carat solid gold.

The Conway Stewart Plumage Mandarin Yellow Fountain Pen

The Mandarin Yellow is a new finish to compliment Conway Stewart’s Plumage Series. The Grey Plumage was featured on the cover of the Robb Report Collection, 2009 Design Preview. Conway Stewart has taken the original Plumage design and transformed it with vibrant shades of bright yellow, creating the perfect tribute to the spring season. Yellow is considered as a desirable color and is used to symbolize wisdom, joy and happiness. People of high intellect tend to favor this color. The Mandarin Yellow Plumage features both panels of vivid Mandarin Yellow enamel as well as intricately engraved panels that are highlighted by translucent enamel in a slightly deeper shade. The contrast between the two tones of yellow is perfectly accented by the brightly polished sterling silver trim. The Plumage Series is based on the popular Model 100, a classically shaped pen that has won awards for its design. The Plumage is crafted from hallmarked solid sterling silver rods, each piece being turned to exacting specifications and then carefully finished by our engravers before being enameled. The result is a perfectly balanced pen that exudes quality in every aspect, from the weight and balance to the gleaming surface of polished sterling silver and vibrant enamel.
Conway Stewart prides itself in its working relationship with the best of English craftsmanship. The artist for the Mandarin Yellow Plumage precious metal enameled series is known for his creativity and design in jeweler, plaques and trophies. Robert Glover M.A. RCA has been published in numerous industry titles and is the recipient of many notable awards and presentations. His works include major television awards, the famous and iconic Brit-Awards trophy for the UK music industry, exclusive corporate and military presentations. Glover’s previous commissions include: A large silver salver presentation to the chairman of Hyundai ship building company; Sculpted jeweler in 18 carat pink and green gold with colored diamonds for a world famous singer and songwriter; Celebration goblets given to HRH Princess Grace of Monaco; A large silver gilt and enameled plaque for the Cunard Flag Ship QE2; Silverware for Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II; Silverware celebrating HRH the Prince Charles’ and Princess Diana’s Royal wedding; Silverware for HM the Queen Mother’s birthday celebrations; Regimental silverware for the Parachute Regiment and the Brigade of Guards.
