We have received the latest addition to the Pelikan 205 Tradition series, available in red, black and crème white, these pens are made of resin and come with Pelikan’s unique piston filling system. These fountain pens come with stainless steel nib available in Fine, medium and broad nib size. We have added them to our website and as usual our special prices made them relatively affordable. Ryosuke Namiki, the founder of Pilot Corporation, realized the need for improving existing pens used for drawing during his tenure as a professor at the Tokyo Merchant Marine College. After making a prototype fountain pen, he formed a partnership with one of his colleagues, Masao Wada and started manufacturing and selling fountain pens in 1918. Pilot/Namiki is known for its quality maki-e pens and the beautiful works of art are available in both its brand. The Maki-e lacquering, a centuries-old technique in which multi-layered patterns are drawn on the barrel and cap with urushi – sap from Japanese lacquer. This lovely fountain pen is hand painted Togidashi-maki-e lacquering techniques. The design is available with a fine, medium or broad 14 karat gold with rhodium accented nib, assuring long lasting, impeccable writing performance. A gift box with bottled ink completes the attractive presentation. Togidashi technique, a style where the design is painted in lacquer, and gold or silver powder is sprinkled over it; when the lacquer is dry, another coat is applied to the design to fix the powder. Ro-iro-urushi (black lacquer without oil) is then applied over the entire surface, and, after it has dried, it is burnished briefly with charcoal. The final polishing is done with cotton wool soaked with Ki-Urushi (crude Urushi).

The Sailor Carbon fiber fountain pen is a unique collaboration with Yonex Co Ltd. Japan and it is a Japanese manufacturer of sporting equipment for badminton, golf and tennis, producing racquets, clubs, shoes, shuttlecocks, and other equipment for those sports. The Carbon fiber material was developed by them and subscribe by Sailor to make this innovation fountain pen. The light weight carbon fiber makes the fountain pen durable. This range of fountain pens does not come with clips and uses a 14K nib.

Graf Von Faber Castell made another addition to its Anello range of pens. This model was first feature in 2007 and has several finishes such as ebony, gold plating and the latest is ivory color resin. For your information, the word Anello simply means “Rings” in Italian.
The Intuition Terra pens, made its debut this month with an attractive color combination of orange red on the barrel and black cap. We have just received the rollerball pens, matching ballpoint pens and pencils. The fountain pens will be available in mid of December. Check out the pictures.
